Meet the Therapist

UPDATE: Elizabeth has recently returned from maternity leave and appointment scheduling is now open for all. Availability is limited. Any appointment inquiries made during this recent leave will be addressed shortly and in the order they were received. The Center for Cognitive Wellness will remain fully virtual and sessions will be provided via a HIPAA-compliant video platform. CCW will no longer be providing therapy services to anyone under the age of 18. Additionally, prices have changed for 2023 - please see detailed pricing below. -------- Elizabeth has owned and practiced psychotherapy at the Center for Cognitive Wellness since January 2021, with her experience in therapy beginning in 2016. She specializes in treating young adults with anxiety or concerns in finding their path in the world. Although exclusively providing individual psychotherapy at this time, Elizabeth has experience treating a wide variety of concerns and diagnoses through individual, group, and couples therapy. With years of experience working in emergency department and suicide prevention settings, Elizabeth is familiar and experienced in effective clinical care. Within previous roles, Elizabeth has presented to peers on the assessment of neurocognitive disorders. She has developed, ran, and presented nationally on a national mentorship program for clinical staff. She has also created a guide for emergency social work services at a large local hospital. Between 2019 and 2020, Elizabeth completed 57 hours of trainings at the Beck Institute of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for use of CBT and mindfulness with anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. In 2021, Elizabeth completed a post-master's certificate in Advanced Assessment and Diagnosis from New York University and in 2022, she completed the Gottman Institute's Methods for Couples Therapy Level 1 Training. Elizabeth has acted as a field instructor to local USF clinical students and recently became registered as a Qualified Supervisor for clinical social workers in the state of Florida. Elizabeth feels passionately about the importance of informed mental health care and the effect this can have on every aspect of an individual's life. Her goal is to provide warm, compassionate, and individualized care to every client.
